Got a good reading on Preston's progress since last August as we finished the one year evaluation with LaQuita last night. In August of last year Preston's receptive language (what he understands) was at a 3-6 month level and his expressive language (communicating wants and needs) couldn't even be tested appropriately since he had virtually none. It now appears he is testing at a 9-12 month level for both areas. We're also thinking that his receptive is higher than that but for now that is a good guage.
Preston worked well with LaQuita. When she said "Go Car" while they were playing cars he said "Dough Dah"....he also mimicked her saying "boink". He mimicks VERY well these days!
We're continuing to work on body parts this week. Wait. No, I can't remember our homework-ACK-sorry LaQuita....I will look at it again tonight and update....lol.....
